Psychiatric Services
Psychiatry
Dr. Gettenberg provides thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults and adolescents ages 14–17 in New York and Connecticut. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation and may include ongoing medication management for concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, panic symptoms, sleep difficulties, and other emotional or behavioral challenges. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual, with an emphasis on clear communication, careful follow-up, and long-term well-being.
Dr. Gettenberg also provides consultations for individuals already in treatment. This may mean reviewing a longstanding diagnosis, assessing whether a current regimen still fits the concern it was prescribed for, evaluating medication side effects that have become difficult to live with, or considering whether fewer medications would be appropriate. A consultation can be limited to understanding the current treatment and discussing options, with your existing prescriber continuing to manage care, or it can lead to transferring care here.
Psychotherapy
Dr. Gettenberg offers individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents ages 14-17, providing a confidential and supportive space to better understand patterns, relationships, emotions, and life transitions. Her approach is collaborative and personalized, helping patients develop greater insight, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful changes that support healthier relationships and day-to-day functioning.
Telehealth
Dr. Gettenberg offers telehealth psychiatry for adults and adolescents ages 14–17 throughout New York and Connecticut, with care based in Westport, CT. Virtual appointments include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment consultations, and individual psychotherapy—allowing patients to access personalized care from the comfort of their home without traveling to an office.
Online visits make it easier to maintain consistent care alongside work, school, and family responsibilities. Each appointment provides time to discuss symptoms, ask questions, and review next steps, with the same emphasis on thoughtful assessment, clear communication, and careful follow-up that guides her practice. If regulations require an in-person visit as part of your care, Dr. Gettenberg will discuss those requirements with you.
